The Torii collection is inspired by the artist's travels in Japan and a personal photo series of temple gates. Each work features interconnected graphic shapes and lines in flat black in high contrast with a glowing swath of handmade ink in the background, inviting you to contemplate both the unintentional shapes of the foreground while imagining what lies beyond, just out of sight.
